Kids Are Making The Difference!

Kids Enthusiasm For Species Will Change Everything!

Hey, have you heard the recent statistic about endangered species? I know that word con notates something boring, and most would just pass over the number without a second thought.

But that wasn't the case with me. I about fell over when I saw this number. Here's the current total right now according to I.U.C.N. 16,928 worldwide!

This one is cool to learn the workings of a shark. And as I learned recently, the shark is in a race for its life!
Fascinating, sharks have an enduring appeal for kids. With this imaginative three-dimensional
model-in-a-book kit, the great white can be easily built, deconstructed, and rebuilt layer by layer until each of its elements - cartilage, dentition, fins, gills, and then cardiopulmonary, digestive, and acute sensory systems - is understood.

Polar bears are in the news all the time, but not quite like this. This bear could use a little humor tossed in.

How about some humor for polar bears? Here's a book where polar bears have something to say. Their holding up signs. This is a five star book.

When I read that and I said, man oh man, I've got to do something! But what? A couple of days went by, and then it dawned on me to do a web site. Now, I know that I'm not a biologist; I'm someone that cares for species like you! So yes, I had to gather some wild animal facts.

I can tell you that it's been a fascinating journey of discovery! As things progressed with the sight, I thought, what's the best way to make a difference on this site? And then I thought, hey lets get kids enthused about endangered species! And that's just what I've done.
As I looked at some different species to share about, like Sharks, the Rhino, the Southern Cassowary, which, by the way, is a big tall flightless bird which I'll show a little later.

And, the species that's in the news a lot, the Grey Wolf. All have a value all to it's own. On my site you can discover the wonderful term called, "keystone species." Then share the site with your kids.

Because, your kids will be reading, and discoving the value of a particular species! And there lies the fun in learning! I know they look prehistoric, but come on, work with me! One other neat little fact. America is breeding rhinos to make sure this species does not go extinct. Humans care! Click the precious Rhino to see my endangered species web site for kids.

I read for hours and hours about this bird. This is the Southern Cassowary from Australia. Doesn't their color look amazing? About one to four thousand are in the rain forest at this time.

And, I discovered that they play a key role in the forest. Hey, It's a dangerous bird, but if left alone, it will do its precious job. Aren't they cool looking? The thing on top of their head is called a, "casque." No one knows for sure what the purpose of the casque is. I've read they bend their head and plow through the grass. Pretty useful.

I have a cool video of one on my home page listed below! Kids, they can weigh as much as 150 to 170 lbs. Hey, if you can find a petition to sign for this species, that would be wonderful. I'll sign it.

Well, the vision grew where I thought I would pick out some endangered species kids books. I know I would enjoy them if I were a kid. I'm a kid at heart still!Link

Soon, kids will see all the good they're doing by having their voice heard! All the best to you and your kids. Scott Bright.
